This is a pedestal dish. Executed in the Shonzui style, it is finely decorated with motifs of pine, bamboo, and plum alongside landscape imagery.
To further enhance the refreshing clarity inherent in the blue-toned Shonzui aesthetic, a Chinese poem by Li Bai describing a waterfall has been inscribed, adding both literary resonance and a heightened sense of coolness to the work.
